Whoops. November has pretty much vamoosed its way out of 2002 without updated Gemma related news and views. She's had a busy month, with what is becoming an annual fall mini-vacance en Paris. This time we stayed in the 3rd arrondissement, convenient as we usually end up there anyway. On the sunny day I was in a conference, paying to watch a bunch of industry executives talk about their companies while Gemma and Kathy boulevardiered around.

From then on it was misty, rainy weather, but a pleasantly busy kind of weekend: a trip to see a tedious Modigliani exhibition (or rather, see the backs of multiple heads bobbing around for a clear view of a painting), some shopping in the grand department stores, a visit to Ludovic and Sandra's 16ieme pad, lots of good meals and neighbourhood browsing.

Ever the unpredictable dabbler when it comes to cuisine, Gemma took to Basque cooking our first night there, staying
up late to wolf down a good part of our meals. The rest of the time she sought the waif look and kept caloric intake to a minimum.

On other fronts Gemma's well entrenched in the daycare routine: go to daycare, catch a cold/fever, get too sick to go the next day, end up paying to stay at home, repeat. The days she is there are pretty good and she's made a few friends... our little girl's growing up; soon she'll be embarrassed to be with us.
