"Let's talk about my days on the 'puter" said Gemma.
"OK. you talk, and I'll type."
"I have a finger out; what can we do with my finger? I want to do something with my finger". It hovered over the keyboard.
"I'll type, it'll be faster. What did you do today?"
"Had breakfast and had my milk, and then go to the gym."
"What did you do at the gym?"
"I went swimming, on the slide, did some paddling, played with water from two taps and a fountain".

After the gym Gemma and Mummy came home, picked up Daddy and Liv and went to have lunch in a nearby pub garden. Then it was off to a park.

"What park?"
"I don't know."
"We went to Hampstead Heath. What what it like?"
"Sunny. We had a BIG walk, looked at kites, pushed our pushchairs, got a lolly, looked at a playground, looked for our car. We did find our car."
"Then what?"
"Drove home. Did some gardening. I did water gardening."

"What I did today" by Gemma, as dictated to your tireless correspondent:

"I woke up and I had breakfast, I had my milk, I got dressed and then I go (sic) to school. I played a game, made a story when someone read to us. After school I came home, had lunch and then I went to a gym with Liv and Mummy. I played at the gym: cars, houses, putting clothes on dolls. Then I went to Foxy's and played there: puppet show,payed with trains on tracks went out in the garden, went on the garden swing. Then I had dinner with Foxy, and I had a lolly too. A green lolly. Then I went home, then we looked for you (Daddy), then we did things with you. That's it. That's my big day."
